Traci

Traci

(Gown from the Jim Hjelm Blush collection for JLM Bridal)

Denver is known for it’s natural beauty and the brides of Denver were no exception.  However, eco-conscious bride Traci took “natural” to a different level, going so far as to not shaving her underarms or legs to conserve water.  Traci also felt she would be just as comfortable walking down the aisle in her birthday suit.  “Not on my watch!”

Even though Traci liked this gown from the Jim Hjelm Blush collection, she was still not able to commit.  Time to accessorize, show Traci her “Head-to-Hem” makeover and try to convince her.  I added a sash of burlap with a sunflower accent to make the gown feel more organic, and then added a layer of orange tulle at the hemline, per Traci’s request, and to coordinate with her wedding colors.  Lindsay took Traci’s hair out of her pigtails and gave her a “waterfall braided” half-up, half-down, hairstyle and added fresh flowers for an earthy feel. Raychel kept Traci’s makeup natural, and cleaned up Traci’s brow line.  Thankfully, she loved the completed look as much as we did and Traci will not be walking nude down the aisle.

I chose a finger-tipped, lace-trimmed veil from Nilah & Co. for Traci. The dramatic, yet rustic, burlap sash went perfectly with Traci’s eco-conscious lifestyle.
