Already having chosen a traditional gown with a long train for the ceremony, Stephanie came to the New Orleans Randy to the Rescue event to find a second dress for her reception.  Wanting something classic and timeless, it also needed to be free flowing, light, and comfortable so Stephanie can enjoy the party.  And it should still fit within the Tiffany inspired theme.

New Orleans has been home to Stephanie and her fiancé Michael their whole life.  A childhood crush stood the test of time when Michael asked her to a sophomore dance.  And nearly ten years after they started dating, Michael proposed in a befitting New Orleans location, Audubon Park.

Tragically, Michael’s father passed away during the planning stages of the wedding, so some of their plans got delayed.  Like finding a second dress.  So here we were with just a few weeks to get Stephanie the perfect gown for her reception.  When Stephanie stepped into this silk organza and tulle Tara Keely ballgown, she knew it was perfect.  When Michael agreed that this dress was perfect, all that was left was to see if we could order the dress in time.  Sadly it could not be ordered.  But after seeing Stephanie’s “head to hem” makeover complete, I could not disappoint her and offered to take the sample off my truck in order for her to have the reception gown of her dreams.

Stephanie’s bridal blueprint.

Another concern for Stephanie was New Orleans’ notorious humidity and how it would affect her hair on her wedding day. Paul created a soft loosely curled style that she would not have to worry about. The addition of a Thomas Knoell hair comb (Lee Ann) added sparkle.

Leslie used a palette of soft pastel colors to create a fresh twist on classic makeup. Because Stephanie is petite with delicate features, I choose these equally delicate drop crystal and pearl earrings (Toni) from Thomas Knoell that added sparkle around her face without overpowering her beauty.

This Erin Cole crystal embellished belt added some “bling” for the perfect party dress and wasn’t over powering like the large black bow that came with the dress.

A beautiful bouquet of pastel colors adds subtle color that compliments the color palette of her make up.
