Autumn

Indie girl Autumn came to Randy to the Rescue because for her wedding day she truly wanted a more traditional style and wasn’t sure how to marry the two worlds together.  Autumn and her fiancé Rich live in Austin, Texas where her family owns a punk rock recording studio, so this couple is as punk rock as it gets.  The are planning a low key wedding with family and friends and want to incorporate traditional elements mixed with their Indie style throughout.

Tattoos are a concern for Autumn because her future mother-in-law is a very traditional Italian woman who even makes Rich wear sleeves to dinner to cover his tattoos.  Autumn is also concerned she will not have that moment of knowing THIS is the dress, which has kept her from shopping so far.

Autumn didn’t have to worry, when she stepped into this lace A-line gown by Augusta Jones, the ah-ha moment was instantaneous.  The dress gives her the traditional feel she desired without compromising who she is, or covering up her tattoos.  I explained to Autumn that her tattoos are part of her.  She got them because she feels they are beautiful and she should never cover up who she is.  I am very proud of Autumn for choosing to celebrate the woman she is and walk down the aisle proudly.

The rough sketch for Autumn’s Bridal Blueprint.

This stunning lace trimmed veil by Nilah & Company coordinated perfectly with the lace of the gown and covered just enough of Autumn’s tattoos for her to feel confident and please her future mother-in-law. For the hair, Paul left Autumn’s dark locks down to create a dramatic frame for her ivory complexion. Lesley chose a soft color palette of pinks and whites to reflect Autumn’s feminine side which also let Autumn’s beautiful dark eyes pop!

The back of this Augusta Jones gown features an amazing lace scalloped train.

Delicate drop crystal earrings from Thomas Knoell added just the right amount of sparkle around Autumn’s face.
